WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook are all not working at the moment a major outage.
These three apps are all owned by Facebook, and run on shared infrastructure. They all completely stopped working shortly before 12am on 5 Oct 2021.
Visitors to the Facebook website simply saw an error page or a message that their browser could not connect. The WhatsApp and Instagram apps did not show new content and appear to be loading.

This outrage is also reported in many parts of the world, including India, US and Jerusalem.
