Prices of Bak kwa Unlike many other bak kwa stores, Kim Peng Hiang doesn't increase prices of its bakkwa during the festive period. This also means the shop doesn't gove discount on other days. Their signature royal slice bak kwa cost $48 per kilogram and their famed pineapple bak kwa cost $52 per kilogram. Ordering during this period The order starts at approximately 11.30am. This timing is not fixed and they will only put a notice at their shop a day before. After paying, customers can collect it between 2pm and 8pm the following day. Every customer is limited to a purchase of 3kg. Queue status When a friend of our page went down to get the bak kwa today at 1pm, she was the last allowed in the queue and orders for today are fully taken.  Woodlands Terrace has always been a popular place to go for warehouse sales just before CNY. This year, only 1 factory there is having a CNY sale. fragrance Foodstuff is holding its warehouse sale. Safe Entry is required to enter. The sale opens from 10am to 6pm. The staff is reluctant to reveal when this sale will be held until. Bak Kwa Bak Kwa are definitely sold here. Currently, loose Bak Kwa are sold at $28 per kg. Other variation of Bak Kwa range from $32 to $66 per kg.   CNY Goodies CNY goodies in bottles are sold at 2 for $18. However facilitate safe distancing, visitors are required to reserve their visits to Sentosa Island Lights here. Visitors may register up to 5 persons per visit from the following sessions every night: • Session 1: 7.30pm to 8.30pm • Session 2: 8.30pm to 9.30pm • Session 3: 9.30pm to 10.30pm Sessions are available for booking opens 5 days in advance, at 0000h of each day (ie. bookings for 13 December, opens on 8 December, 0000hr). There are heart shaped lights hanging from the trees and the ground is laced with pink and white lights.   Bonus area to explore: Magical ShoresOn the left of the display is the entrance to magical shores. This mega light display was available in Siloso Beach before COVID-19 became severe. My friend and I were the only ones looking at the display over the barrier. There were no signs to this area. A Sentosa staff came up and told us visitors with passes to Sentosa Island lights are allowed to enter. This was apparently the soft launch of Magical Shores and it will take over Sentosa Island Lights when it ends. The shores of Siloso Beach come alive in this installation. There are constant light sequences projected on the beach and smoke comes from the small islands just opposite the shores.    The field report of Magical Shores can be found here. Admission into Sentosa via walking in, car and monorail is free till 31 Dec 2020. It is not announced yet if admission fees are applicable thereafter yet. Sentosa’s festive light-up welcomes Island Lights with Sanrio characters this December. There will be 7 larger-than-life light installations on Siloso Beach. Hello Kitty, Pompompurin, My Melody and Little Twin Stars will bring us back to the past with classic icons from Sentosa over the years. There is also a giant water slide and a dragon that seems like an iconic display of Sentosa. This year, they retain their style with some interesting elegant. Entering from Marina Bay side, you are greeted by these giant trees with gold and white trims, deer and bell figures. Address: 10 Bayfront Avenue, Singapoee 018956  This is the best CHRISTmas decorstion this year. Be greeted with this gigantic Christmas tree when you enter the mall. Named 'Tree of Love', you can even write notes to hang on the tree from Fri to Sun.   Near the tree is this display that truly shows why we celebrate CHRISTmas. Doing away with just the commercial aspect of the festival, this mall placed the scene of the birth of Jesus in the centre of the buidling itself.  The stairs displaythe theme 'Gift of Love'.  The water feature at one entrance of the mall is craftfully decorated to enhance the festive mood.  Star Vista is a beautiful mall besude Buona Vista MRT station. It has a unique open air design that allows for good air circulation.
