Bukit Batok Nature Park features stunning views and clear waters. There are spots that reach more than 10 storeys high for stunning views of the quarry. It houses the primary freshwater swamp forest, with the most significant remaining patch being the Nee Soon Swamp Forest in the reserve. The MacRitchie Trails are a 20-kilometre network of trails. Key attractions of the Central Catchment Nature Reserve include the TreeTop Walk, a 250-metre suspension bridge that connects the two highest points in MacRitchie and the Jelutong Tower, a 7-deck observation tower. It begins from Changi Creek and stretches to the western rocky coast near Changi Beach Club, before passing Changi Point or Loyang Park Connector at Netheravon Road. The Wallace Education Centre, which was formerly a cow shed, is Singapore’s first field study hub for schools. Singapore Quarry has been transformed into a wetland habitat with a viewing platform for visitors to discover flora , fauna and numerous species of dragonflies, many of which are rare. Walk to the open carpark beside Seah Im Food Centre. 2. Face the forested area and walk towards a large tree with a 'Heritage Tree' sign on the top left area. 3. Enter through an opening in the fence beside the Heritage Tree. 4. Walk across the narrow stream and follow the trail that many have walked on before. 5. You will come across the Seah Im bunker. 6. You can explore it if you wish. You are advised to bring strong torches as it is pitch black inside. 7. From this bunker, turn left and follow the trail. 8. You will come to a short but steep slope with a rope tied to a tree. Climb the slope with the aid of the rope. 9. Continue to walk along the trail will you come across a road on a gentle slope. 10. Walk down the slope till you come across a junction. Take the right path going upwards. 11. You will come across a muddy portion. Walk along the muddy trail. 12. Continue walking along the trail till you come across a rock 'bridge'. 13. Cross the bridge and walk a little more along the trail. 14. You will see Keppel Hill Reservoir. 15. Go to the east side of the reservoir and follow the small flight of concrete stairs that ends with the remains of a longer brick stairway. 16. Follow the trail and you will see the abandoned Japanese tomb. Kranji Marshes Difficulty level: 3.75/5 Distance: 1 km Walking time: 30 minutes 11 Neo Tiew Lane 2, Singapore 718814 7am to 7pm This 56.8-hectare freshwater marshland is one of the largest freshwater marshes in Singapore. Together with Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, this issue great place for visitors to observe and enjoy nature in the Kranji are. By Car: Park at carpark 4A at Changi Airport Terminal 4 Lorong Halus Park Connector Difficulty level: 3/5 Distance: 3 km Walking time: 2 hour 30 minutes Between Pasir Ris Dr 12 and Lorong Halus Opens 24 hours This trail allows you to enjoy the scenic view of Serangoon Reservoir as you make your way to Lorong Halus Park Connector and Lorong Halus Wetlands. Difficulty level: 3/5 Distance: 2 km Walking time: 1 hour Opens 24 hours This is one of the oldest reservoirs in Singapore. It is a relatively simple walk suitable for families with young children and the elderly and not as crowded as MacRitchie Reservoir. Getting there By Bus: 163, 167, 169, 855, 980. Alight at bus stop nearest to the Sembawang Hill Food Court and walk along Old Upper Thomson Road By Car: Park along road near the Casuarina Entrance Kampong Lorong Buangkok is a village silently located in Buangkok. Built in 1956, i this is the last surviving kampong located in Singapore. I took a short adventure to this uniqur neighbourhood. Taking bus 50 from the bus stop outside Jubilee at Ang Mo Kio, I alighted at bus stop 67079. On the right is a big canal, so it should be easy to spot. I crossed the road towards the canal and took the staircase beside Shell petrol kiosk down. Then, I followed the path till I saw a small bridge across the canal and crossed it.
